Full spectrum CBD extract – what’s behind it?

In our cosmetics and therapeutic products you will always find this information: they contain full spectrum CBD extract. What is it? Why do we use this particular substance? Are there other CBD extracts on the market? We will try to explain it briefly.
What CBD extracts are available on the market?
On the market you will find products containing three basic CBD extracts. These are: full spectrum, broad spectrum and CBD isolate. How do they differ from each other?
Full spectrum contains all the phytoactive ingredients found in hemp, which have a beneficial effect on human health. Broad spectrum is an extract that is free of THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) - an organic chemical compound from the cannabinoid group, which has a psychoactive effect. However, in the purification process, other valuable compounds are also removed, such as chlorophyll.
In the case of isolate, we are dealing with the poorest form of CBD, because we only find one isolated compound here – cannabidiol, or CBD.[1]
Full spectrum – means full impact
Full spectrum CBD extract is the essence of the beneficial properties of hemp. This is because in this extract you will find all naturally occurring in hemp phytoactive ingredients that have a positive effect on health. And there are a lot of them there.
These are:
- cannabidiol (CBD),
- other numerous cannabinoids – such as CBN, CBC, CBG and THC – the latter in trace amounts, below 0.3%,
- terpenes,
- flavonoids,
- chlorophyll
An excellent carrier of full spectrum CBD extract is hemp oil, which additionally provides us with valuable ingredients such as EFAs, i.e. omega-3, omega-6 acids (in 3:1 proportions – the best for our body), as well as valuable minerals (sodium, calcium, magnesium, zinc, iron) and vitamins (A, E, K).
CBD full spectrum and the entourage effect
Scientists studying the effects of CBD on the human body have noted that the numerous active compounds in hemp enhance its effects. Because let's remember that this miraculous plant contains not only CBD itself, but also other cannabinoids (and there are almost 100 of them), terpenes, plant compounds, essential oils and many other substances. All of these compounds interact with each other in a beneficial way and affect our body via the ECS, or endocannabinoid system.
We then talk about the so-called entourage effect (read: entourage) or the effect of the entourage. And this is the effect of using full spectrum CBD extract: because the full spectrum of the plant works best, which is of particular importance, among others, in therapies related to reducing pain [2]
Why is it worth choosing full spectrum CBD preparations?
The versatile and therapeutic effects of hemp, from which the full spectrum CBD extract is obtained, confirmed by the scientists quoted above, make the preparations CBD full spectrum it is the purest wealth of nature and effective support for our health in almost every aspect.
The presence in the full spectrum CBD extract not only of CBD itself, but also of the above-mentioned terpenes, flavonoids and, in fact, all the valuable cannabinoids found in hemp:
