The medical discovery that everyone should know, or the key to understanding the versatile effects of CBD

We all know that our organs form systems – systems that include the respiratory, circulatory, digestive, lymphatic, immune, endocrine, sexual, nervous, motor, urinary, and skeletal systems. But have you heard of the endocannabinoid system?

The ECS is a biochemical communication process called the “endocannabinoid system.” The discovery of this system has been hailed as one of the most exciting breakthroughs in modern science, with research confirming that the ECS plays a key role in our body’s homeostasis.

So what is the mysterious endocannabinoid system (ECS) and how did cannabis help discover it?

Before we talk about the ECS system, it is worth realizing that hemp, which everyone has heard of, is a particularly unique plant that can be used by humans in 100%.

Seeds – we use hemp oil to press an extremely nutritious edible oil from hemp seeds. It is worth noting that this oil does not naturally contain CBD.

Leaves, stems, flowers – this is where we obtain valuable cannabinoids, including CBD, which is used and added to many products.

Stalks – from them, hemp shive is obtained, hemp fibers used to produce clothing, paper and even building materials and biofuels.

Flowers - the dried herb is obtained from them and depending on the content of individual cannabinoids, including CBD and THC, medical marijuana is created

During research into the effects of marijuana on the brain, conducted in 1992 by Dr. Raphael Mechoulam of Hebbrew Un Israel, it was discovered that humans – in addition to typical systems such as the nervous, circulatory, lymphatic – also have a previously unknown endocannabinoid system.

The Endocannabinoid System is responsible for the overall health and well-being of a person. It plays an extremely important role and affects all of our other systems and triggers the necessary repair processes to bring about full homeostasis of the body, it also affects our central nervous system and immune system.

The endocannabinoid system consists of, among others, CB1 and CB2 receptors, which perfectly capture cannabinoids from our body. Did you know that most of us suffer from cannabinoid deficiencies, including CBD, which is why their supplementation is so important.

CB1 cannabinoid receptors are generally present in the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord), while CB2 receptors are present in the peripheral nervous system (nerves of the extremities), gastrointestinal system, and immune system. Studies indicate that both CB1 and CB2 receptors are also found in epidermal keratinocytes, dermal nerve fibers, dermal cells, melanocytes, sweat glands, and hair follicles.

Studies have also shown a key role for the ECS in maintaining skin homeostasis and barrier function, the dysregulation of which is associated with various skin diseases such as atopic dermatitis, pruritus, acne, hair growth and loss, and hyperpigmentation.

Although cannabinoid receptors remain the primary targets for endocannabinoids, they have also been shown to bind to Transient Receptor Potential (TRP) receptors present on various skin cell types and are involved in various functions such as the formation and maintenance of the skin barrier, cell growth, cell differentiation, immunological and inflammatory processes.

The therapeutic benefits of CBD and other phytocannabinoids appear to still hold much untapped therapeutic potential.

It is not without reason that all CBD SKIN EXPERT brand products contain CBD full spectrum extract in high doses in their formulas. Additionally, the extraordinary effects of our products are supported by herbs with documented effectiveness. This is why CBDSKINEXPERT brand products work so well for all skin types, including problematic ones.
